Account Lead

An Account Lead is the primary point of contact for Freestyle’s clients. This individual leads strategy for his/her clients, manages client campaigns, builds relationships with clients, and oversees coordination of any marketing, creative or public relations needs. We are seeking a positive, talented, adaptable, highly-motivated and creative individual with a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned Freestyle clients
  • Spearheading clients’ comprehensive marketing strategies
  • Maintaining positive relationships with Freestyle clients in regards to the creative direction of their campaign
  • Ensuring all work is completed according to strategy, on time and within budget
  • Managing client expectations on timelines, processes and results throughout a project or campaign
  • Fostering collaboration among account services, creative and digital team members to ensure everyone is set up for success
  • Coordinating PR initiatives
  • Writing content for clients’ social media, blogs, news releases, websites and newsletters as needed
  • Tracking analytics and conversions from Freestyle marketing campaigns as needed
  • Quality-controlling and reporting for clients’ social media and digital marketing campaigns
  • Assists in preparing client invoices, proposals, marketing/media/public relations planning

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, advertising or related field
  • Professional industry experience in public relations, communications, marketing, advertising or related field
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office and/or Mac-equivalent systems
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage a project from start to finish and meet deadlines

Hours and compensation:

  • Full-time salaried

Creative Director

Freestyle is seeking a full-time creative director. This leadership position is responsible for the overall supervision of the agency’s creative services (video, design, copy and web development) as well as taking strategic marketing plans and interpreting them into “big ideas.” The creative director interfaces between the client, the account team and the creative department while reporting to the president.  

The creative director manages all creative projects within the agency staff and selects which freelancers will work on certain creative assignments.  The creative director approves all creative work before presentation to the client, first reviewing the creative work with the account team, taking the account team’s requests for change into consideration. Most of all, the creative director should have a “vision” about the importance of the creative product to the future success of the agency. 

Responsibilities:

  • Directs the creative services at the agency and strives for excellence in everything from concept to completion of every project on schedule
  • Leads creative concepting for the Freestyle team
  • Works closely with account services to solve marketing problems through smart, well-designed advertising and collateral materials that help sell product, and maintain good image for clients and agency
  • Manages the creative department (design, copywriting, video and web development)
  • Directs Freestyle’s internal marketing and client commercials
  • Attends client meeting as needed (along with the account team) to develop creative strategies and implements all creative requirements including copy, layout, illustrations, final art and photography
  • Confirms client review and delivery schedules with account manager and assigns jobs to creative team
  • Oversees creative solutions and presents those to account manager for internal approval at a date determined in the initial creative input meeting
  • Directs work to assure on-schedule delivery for client review
  • Is called on request of account manager, or by his/her own request, to pitch creative at client presentations
  • Selects vendors for jobs and is involved along with the creative team in signing off on website, layouts, artwork, photography, proofs and proposals
  • Oversees selection and management of all freelance services
  • Interviews and screens applicants for creative positions as well as hiring and terminating
  • Maintains current working knowledge of creative skills, software and programs to ensure entire creative department as well as individual staff members remain on the leading edge of essential technology and skills
  • Oversees the creative department budget
  • Schedules and authorizes payment for creative team skills training
  • Represents the agency at creative/professional/civic functions
  • Embodies Freestyle’s core values and mission
  • Supports business development with creative needs and pitches Freestyle’s creative services to potential new clients as needed

Position requirements:

  • Related experience in a creative field (agency experience a plus)
  • Management experience preferred

Internship: Account Services (Spring 2019)

• Working with the Freestyle team to draft press releases for various Freestyle clients

Key tasks and responsibilities would include:

  • Assisting the Freestyle team with shooting promotional videos for various clients
  • Editing videos and media collateral for various Freestyle clients
  • Brainstorming and creative strategy for implementation of Freestyle clients’ digital marketing
  • Assisting the Freestyle team with shooting photography for creative materials and client events
  • Helping out with scheduled film shoots in the Freestyle studio

For the internship to be considered complete, you will complete one “project” in which you produce a video for your resume and reel that displays your skill in the field.  Subject matter and your role on the project is decided based on your career aspirations.
