Account Lead

An Account Lead is the primary point of contact for Freestyle’s clients. This individual leads strategy for his/her clients, manages client campaigns, builds relationships with clients, and oversees coordination of any marketing, creative or public relations needs. We are seeking a positive, talented, adaptable, highly-motivated and creative individual with a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned Freestyle clients
  • Spearheading clients’ comprehensive marketing strategies
  • Maintaining positive relationships with Freestyle clients in regards to the creative direction of their campaign
  • Ensuring all work is completed according to strategy, on time and within budget
  • Managing client expectations on timelines, processes and results throughout a project or campaign
  • Fostering collaboration among account services, creative and digital team members to ensure everyone is set up for success
  • Coordinating PR initiatives
  • Writing content for clients’ social media, blogs, news releases, websites and newsletters as needed
  • Tracking analytics and conversions from Freestyle marketing campaigns as needed
  • Quality-controlling and reporting for clients’ social media and digital marketing campaigns
  • Assists in preparing client invoices, proposals, marketing/media/public relations planning

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, advertising or related field
  • Professional industry experience in public relations, communications, marketing, advertising or related field
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office and/or Mac-equivalent systems
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage a project from start to finish and meet deadlines
  • A desire to work in a creative, collaborative environment

Director of Account Services

The Director of Account Services is responsible for leading the account services team and determining the overall strategy for all Freestyle clients. This position is responsible for assigning all account services tasks and managing /overseeing each clients’ social media strategy, branding, digital marketing, web development, online ads and public relations initiatives. The Director of Account Services is responsible for managing their department, working closely/communicating with the creative services team to set them up for success, and making sure that the Freestyle team delivers the maximum value to our clients. The Director of Account Services also oversees the execution of Freestyle’s internal marketing strategy (social media, website, press releases, etc).

Account Strategy and Leadership

  • Managing the account services team
  • Assigning tasks, client projects and intern assignments on FunctionPoint and updating calendars
  • Monitoring your team’s hours and making sure they are efficient and on target
  • Monitoring your team’s KPIs
  • Coaching and training your team members
  • Monitoring your team’s growth and eNPS scores (most important KPI for managing the team)
  • Overseeing strategy for clients
  • Serving as a point-of-contact for all clients
  • Serving in the account services role/point of contact and strategy for your clients
  • Stepping in and completing other client work when necessary (depending on the team’s workload)
  • Overseeing all clients’ analytics (reviewing weekly status reports and end-of-month reports sent by the account service team)
  • Leading client meetings (prep work and compiling all printed materials for client meetings)
  • Leading new business discovery meetings
  • Strategizing, writing/designing new client proposals
  • Overseeing strategy and creative for new client pitches
  • Overseeing/executing client campaigns
  • Coordinating and leading regular pod meetings with the creative team to discuss/plan on-going client projects

  • Overseeing Freestyle’s marketing
  • Oversee implementation of website updates
  • Oversee Freestyle social media
  • Coordinating new team member headshots
  • Coordinating new team member website bios, and oversee adding a new profile to the website

Team Development / Hiring

  • Filtering out hires and interns; training and welcoming new team members
  • Writing and posting job listings
  • On-boarding and training for new accounts service team members
  • Evaluate the performance of the account service team based on Freestyle’s CORE values
  • Reward team members based on Freestyle’s CORE values
  • Completing performance reviews for the account service department
  • Oversee the account service internship program (curriculum and projects)
  • Intern midterm and final evaluations
  • Intern letters of recommendation

Creative Director

Freestyle is seeking a full-time creative director. This leadership position is responsible for the overall supervision of the agency’s creative services (video, design, copy and web development) as well as taking strategic marketing plans and interpreting them into “big ideas.” The creative director interfaces between the client, the account team and the creative department while reporting to the president.  

The creative director manages all creative projects within the agency staff and selects which freelancers will work on certain creative assignments.  The creative director approves all creative work before presentation to the client, first reviewing the creative work with the account team, taking the account team’s requests for change into consideration. Most of all, the creative director should have a “vision” about the importance of the creative product to the future success of the agency. 

Responsibilities:

  • Directs the creative services at the agency and strives for excellence in everything from concept to completion of every project on schedule
  • Leads creative concepting for the Freestyle team
  • Works closely with account services to solve marketing problems through smart, well-designed advertising and collateral materials that help sell product, and maintain good image for clients and agency
  • Manages the creative department (design, copywriting, video and web development)
  • Directs Freestyle’s internal marketing and client commercials
  • Attends client meeting as needed (along with the account team) to develop creative strategies and implements all creative requirements including copy, layout, illustrations, final art and photography
  • Confirms client review and delivery schedules with account manager and assigns jobs to creative team
  • Oversees creative solutions and presents those to account manager for internal approval at a date determined in the initial creative input meeting
  • Directs work to assure on-schedule delivery for client review
  • Is called on request of account manager, or by his/her own request, to pitch creative at client presentations
  • Selects vendors for jobs and is involved along with the creative team in signing off on website, layouts, artwork, photography, proofs and proposals
  • Oversees selection and management of all freelance services
  • Interviews and screens applicants for creative positions as well as hiring and terminating
  • Maintains current working knowledge of creative skills, software and programs to ensure entire creative department as well as individual staff members remain on the leading edge of essential technology and skills
  • Oversees the creative department budget
  • Schedules and authorizes payment for creative team skills training
  • Represents the agency at creative/professional/civic functions
  • Embodies Freestyle’s core values and mission
  • Supports business development with creative needs and pitches Freestyle’s creative services to potential new clients as needed

Position requirements:

  • Related experience in a creative field (agency experience a plus)
  • Management experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Ability to effectively communicate both visually and verbally
  • Desire to work in a creative, collaborative environment
  • Ability to multi-task while being thorough, accurate and detail-oriented
